A new report has emerged regarding Everton's pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike this summer, as Sean Dyche looks to improve his attacking options ahead of the Premier League season.

The Frenchman started just 12 games for the Ligue 1 champions in the last campaign.

What's the latest on Hugo Ekitike to Everton?

Whilst Fabrizio Romano's recent report revealed the Toffees' concrete interest in Ekitike, Sky Sports' Alan Myers has now reported that Everton have made an offer for the striker, which PSG are considering.

It remains to be seen just how much the Ligue 1 champions want for the 21-year-old, but, according to Transfermarkt, he is currently worth €20m (£17m).

Given that PSG have just welcomed Goncalo Ramos, too, their need for Ekitike has significantly decreased, potentially making a deal easier for Everton to complete in the coming weeks.

You'd expect that Dyche will certainly welcome the arrival of a forward, too, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin the only striker for the former Burnley manager to call on at Goodison Park, as things stand.

With that said, Everton's pursuit of Ekitike is certainly one to keep an eye on this summer.

Should Everton sign Hugo Ekitike?

As already mentioned, Calvert-Lewin is currently the only recognised striker at Everton, as they head into the Premier League season hoping to avoid relegation once more.

The Englishman, himself, hasn't exactly got a good track record when it comes to availability, either. The forward missed 14 games throughout the entirety of last season, as Everton struggled for goals, scoring just 35 times – the second-lowest in the league.

An injection of youth in the form of Ekitike could be exactly what the Toffees need to avoid another nervous gamble with their top-flight status in the coming campaign.

The 21-year-old struggled in his debut campaign for PSG, scoring just three times, and assisting a further four times in 12 Ligue 1 starts.

However, when given a consistent chance in a side, Ekitike is capable of reaching double figures in goals, as proven by his time at Stade Reims, where he scored 11 goals, and assisted a further five in all competitions in the 2021/22 campaign.

It is during his time at Reims that the young Frenchman earned plenty of praise, with his head coach at the time, Oscar Garcia, telling BeINSPORTS, via Breaking The Lines:

"There is something very special about him. He’s young, and he has the quality to become a very good player. He’s a young man with a lot of quality but also a lot to improve on, but he works hard in training."

The stats only back up the claims of Ekitike's former manager, too. According to FBref, the PSG man was better than current Everton forward Calvert-Lewin in most areas. He made more progressive passes, scored and assisted more goals, and had more successful take-ons than the Englishman per 90 last season.

The more that Ekitike is looked at, the more he seems like he could be an ideal option for Dyche and Everton in the coming season, as they look to avoid the chaos of another Premier League relegation battle.

Who will Spurs sign?

The departure of star striker Harry Kane provides chairman Daniel Levy and Lilywhites hierarchy with a boosted transfer kitty, as Bayern Munich agreed a potential £103 million deal for his signing (dependent on certain add-ons).

Watching their club legend sport Bavarian colours will come as a bitter sight to take for some Spurs supporters, but as a new era begins under Postecoglou, there is reason for positivity.

Spurs' new head coach has implemented the return of an attack-minded footballing style, coming after the eras of his more dogmatic managerial predecessors Antonio Conte, Nuno Espirito Santo and Jose Mourinho.

Tottenham opened their account for the season with a 2-2 draw away to Brentford last season, with goals coming from defenders Cristian Romero and Emerson Royal.

Postecoglou will already have a good idea of where his squad need to improve, and potentially upgrade, as we enter the final phase of this summer transfer window.

Deadline day is looming on September 1 with the clock ticking for Spurs to make more major signings.

Tottenham are reliably believed to be chasing a new forward, in light of Kane's departure, while Postecoglou has previously expressed the need for another centre-back after Micky van de Ven's arrival from Wolfsburg.

However, Postecoglou has disclosed that Spurs need to move players on before making deals of that nature happen.

“We just can't keep bringing players in, we need to move some players out,” Postecoglou said.

"That's kind of where our focus is right now.

“Over the next three weeks what we don't want to do is have it all happen really late in the window which means we're caught short in any areas. It's got to work that way. We can't just keep accumulating players. We've got a massive squad as it is at the moment and we need to work on that."

Journalist O'Rourke, sharing an update for Football Insider, has taken that into account when writing news on Tottenham's transfer plans.

Indeed, it is believed that Postecoglou personally wishes for a "big-name midfield arrival" before deadline day, and some exits will help facilitate this.

Current Spurs squad members Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Tanguy Ndombele can go for the right price, and O'Rourke is told their sales will boost Spurs' transfer kitty further.

Their potential departures will allow the club to grant Postecoglou his wish of a star midfield signing, with Tottenham also shortlisting "several" strikers to replace Kane.

Which midfielder should Spurs sign?

We believe Chelsea star Conor Gallagher, for the right price, could be a brilliant option for Spurs in this regard.

The Englishman would boost Tottenham's homegrown numbers and he is a proven Premier League performer, made clear during a 2021/2022 loan spell at Crystal Palace.

Gallagher, over that campaign, stood out as the Eagles' best-performing player by average match rating whilst racking up eight goals and three assists.

Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel also lauded the midfielder's "extraordinary" development last summer.

MAIS UM GOLAÇO DO MITEIRO

Diante do Fortaleza, o Flamengo repetiu o bom início de jogo que teve diante do Bahia, na última quarta, em Salvador. Com intensidade e agressividade na marcação, complicou a saída de bola rival e, logo aos cinco minutos, abriu o placar. O que também se repetiu foi a categoria de Everton Ribeiro. Se o meia, em Pituaçu, marcou um golaço com uma finalização forte, de longe, no Rio de Janeiro, ele esbanjou tranquilidade para, frente a frente com o goleiro, dar um leve toque para encobrir Felipe Alves e completar para a rede com a cabeça.

A movimentação do meio para frente, com Michael, Everton e Arrascaeta, com os apoios de Filipe Luís, Gerson e, especialmente, Isla, deu à equipe de Dome ótima produção ofensiva – foram 13 finalizações antes do intervalo, mas o gol não saiu. Méritos do Fortaleza e do goleiro Felipe Alves, que fez boas defesas.

OSVALDO “INFERNIZA ISLA” E LEÃO EMPATA

Após ser pressionado no início, o Fortaleza fez ajustes e, com presença na entrada de sua área, dificultou a criação de chances claras por parte do rival. Buscando equilibrar a posse de bola, o time de Rogério Ceni trocou passes à espera da hora certa de acelerar o jogo. O local já estava definido: nas costas de Isla, o chileno que apoia muito pelo lado direito do Flamengo. Osvaldo se aproveitou de sua velocidade para “infernizar” a defesa adversária por ali. Aos 13, foi derrubado na grande área e Juninho converteu o pênalti para empatar.

Foi da mesma forma que Osvaldo invadiu a área minutos depois e, ao driblar Isla, finalizou no travessão de Gabriel Batista. O Flamengo respondeu com chutes de Pedro e Michael, mas o empate persistiu até o fim da etapa inicial.

FLAMENGO INSISTE E GABIGOL GARANTE A VITÓRIA

Na volta do intervalo, Dome substituiu Pedro por Gabriel Barbosa. Já Ceni tirou Marlon e colocou Romarinho. Além dos nomes, o fato é que o nível da partida, em termos de emoção, caiu, e o Fortaleza foi o principal responsável. Com uma marcação encaixada, freou a produção do rival, que passou a abusar dos levantamentos. Paulão e Quintero, contudo, foram soberanos na bola aérea.

Por outro lado, as boas subidas do visitante também ficaram escassas. Isla, mais “preso” e com a cobertura de Willian Arão, resolveu o problema pela direita. Como as chances não surgiram mais – dos dois lados -, os técnicos usaram todas substituições à disposição, mas pouca coisa mudou. Até aos 41.

Foi com um a menos em campo – Pedro Rocha entrou e sentiu lesão muscular – que o Flamengo encontrou espaço. Everton Ribeiro arrancou e encontrou Matheuzinho pela direita. O jovem lateral foi ao fundo e a defesa do Fortaleza, em um raro momento, vacilou. Livre, Gabigol finalizou de primeira, no canto, para garantir a primeira vitória do Rubro-Negro como mandante no Brasileirão.

ومن المقرر أن يلتقي الأهلي مع بلدية المحلة، اليوم السبت، في إطار منافسات الجولة الثانية والعشرين من عمر المسابقة المحلية.

وقال بركات في تصريحات عبر برنامج “الريمونتادا”، على قناة “المحور”: “أحمد عبد الرؤوف المدير الفني لفريق بلدية المحلة، رغم أنه سيواجه الأهلي، لكنه يعلم أن النقطة لها ثمنها الآن، بسبب موقف فريقه في جدول ترتيب الدوري”.

وأوضح: “الزمالك أراح لاعبين كثيرين، رغم أن الفريق لا يمتلك رفاهية إراحة عدد كبير من نجومه، عكس الأهلي الذي لديه فريقين وثلاثة، كولر يُجري التدوير بشكل جيد، لكن الأمور صعبة عند جوميز”.

واختتم: “لاعبو الأهلي في أفضل حالة، عمر كمال عبد الواحد قدم مباراة من أحسن المباريات التي شاهدتها له منذ سنوات أمام الاتحاد السكندري، ورضا سليم سجل هدف رائع، الشكل العام للفريق كان جيدًا، وخط الوسط كان رائعًا”.
