Watford will be looking to pick up where they left off last time out against Aston Villa as they travel to Brighton and Hove Albion in Saturday’s late kick-off.

Xisco Munoz’s side were in excellent form as they raced into a 3-0 lead against Dean Smith’s men in their first fixture back in the top flight before consolation goals from John McGinn and Danny Ings took the gloss off the result slightly.

However, changes will be necessary for the Hornets, especially after they rocked by the news that Juraj Kucka could be out for three months with an injury, which is a huge blow considering his impressive debut against the Villans last weekend.

Here’s how Football FanCast expects Xisco to line up his side at Brighton, with three changes from the team which beat Villa last time out…

Daniel Bachmann keeps his place in goal and will be looking to earn his first clean sheet of the new season at the Amex Stadium.

There’s one change in defence as, after returning to training this week, Kiko Femenia comes in at right-back to replace the £1.35m-rated Craig Cathcart, which should give Watford’s right-hand side more attacking possibilities against Graham Potter’s outfit.

There is one enforced change in the midfield as summer signing Imran Louza replaces the injured Kucka to make his first competitive start in a Watford shirt.

Finally, after impressive performances last weekend, Emmanuel Dennis and Ismaila Sarr keep their places in attack. They are joined by Cucho Hernandez, who scored superbly just moments after coming off the bench against Villa.

Marcus Trescothick has admitted to shining the ball with help from mints during England’s 2-1 Ashes victory in 2005. Victoria allrounder Cameron White has been named as the replacement for the injured Bryce McGain in the Australian Test squad in India. He will join the squad on October 6 in Bangalore.”We feel that Cameron’s right-arm legspin and experience in Indian conditions, where he has just returned after captaining the Australia A one-day team to a tournament victory, is the correct option and will provide a good balance to our slow bowling attack,” Andrew Hilditch, the chairman of selectors, said. “Cameron’s bowling has continued to improve over the past year at inter-state level and his powerful batting adds extra depth and versatility to the squad.”Cameron has performed well in Australian colours since his return to the one-day international squad earlier this year and he has now been rewarded with inclusion in the Test squad.”Incidentally, White was part of the Australian squad for the tour of India in 2004. He also played for the Bangalore Royal Challengers during the IPL in April this year.White hasn’t played a Test for Australia yet although he has played 21 one-day internationals, the last of which was against Bangladesh in Darwin in September. His opportunities were limited in that series: he scored 31 runs in two innings and bowled only 8.4 overs in three matches. Later in the month he captained Australia A to a tri-series win against India A and New Zealand A. He scored 144 runs at an average of 48 and took eight wickets in five games.White’s inclusion meant that chinaman bowler Beau Casson, who made his debut against West Indies in Barbados in June, was overlooked once again. Casson was part of Australia A’s Test tour of India in September but injured his hamstring after bowling only one over in Bangalore. McGain and offspinner Jason Krejza were chosen ahead of Casson in the original Test squad to India.

Fabrizio Romano has dropped a gutting transfer update on Aston Villa target Pape Sarr.

What’s the story?

Reports in recent weeks and months had suggested that Dean Smith’s side are interested in signing the 18-year-old this summer, with it then being revealed that his current club seem willing to let him go for the right price.

The Athletic then name-checked Villa as a team that have “looked at” Sarr as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, but it appears Premier League rivals Spurs have beaten them to the chase.

Writing on Twitter, Romano said: “Medical completed and now paperworks to be signed for Pape Sarr to Tottenham, here we go confirmed. Done deal for €15m guaranteed plus potential “huge” add ons amount in the future. #THFC Sarr will stay on loan at Metz until June 2022, confirmed. #Spurs”

Dean Smith will be gutted

The 18-year-old enjoyed a real breakthrough season with the Ligue 1 side, playing 22 times in the league, and establishing himself as one of the first names on the team sheet for Metz boss Frederic Antonetti.

And, Antonetti has not shied away from lavishing his midfield starlet with praise, saying: “Pape Matar Sarr is elegance in the midfield, it’s talent, it’s making others play.”

He added: “He will be able to go as far as he wants to go. He must work, be as he is there, modest, regular, hardworking. He must continue to love football and he will do like the great players, he will go far. I think he will go very far.”

Dubbed as someone who’s “got everything” to his game, Sarr averaged an impressive two tackles and 1.2 interceptions per game, while also boasting a passing accuracy of 85.3% – the kind of all-action midfielder that would have surely gone down well with Smith.

The £25m-rated machine could have arrived at Villa Park to hold down one of the holding midfield positions. Instead, it looks like he’ll be realising his potential at Spurs instead.

The Villa boss will surely be gutted when Sarr rocks up to Villa Park in a Spurs shirt.

Sorte da dupla de ataque são-paulina, que funcionou nos momentos chaves. No primeiro gol, Luiz Araújo iniciou a jogada roubando a bola de Dudu no campo de defesa e passou a Marcinho, a grata surpresa da noite. Jogando na ala, o atacante fez ótima partida e deu assistência para Pratto. Já no segundo, o argentino inverteu os papéis e serviu Araújo. Nas duas, a bola passou por debaixo de Prass.

Mas o Palmeiras poderia ter alterado o roteiro se fosse competente no seu momento chave. Pouco depois do primeiro gol, o volante Jean teve a chance de igualar, após o árbitro Anderson Daronco marcar pênalti de Jucilei nele próprio. O palmeirense, criado na base do São Paulo, no entanto, jogou muito para fora. Foi-se a esperança alviverde de quebrar o incômodo tabu.

Antes do momento em que o confronto foi decidido, porém, o que se viu foi uma espécie de jogo de xadrez, recheado de estratégias, mas com pouca emoção. Os dois treinadores surpreenderam nas escalações e jogaram a maior parte do tempo espelhados, em esquemas com três zagueiros. Sobrou intensidade, jogo apoiado, transição de linhas, e todos aqueles termos consagrados pelo futebol contemporâneo, mas chute que era bom, nada…

Até que o São Paulo voltou mais agressivo no segundo tempo, contou com o brilho de seus atacantes e premiou uma noite na qual as decisões de Ceni, mesmo a de voltar com o contestado Lucão, foram bem. No Palmeiras, que até dominou as ações em boa parte do confronto, faltaram o brilho de Dudu, o oportunismo de Willian, a surpresa de Tchê Tchê e a força para acabar com a sina do Morumbi.

وتابع: “طالما أنه مستمر في الأهلي فلن يستطيع منافسة الشناوي أو غيره ممن يستقدمهم الفريق، وإذا خرج سيعود وهو في سن 25 سنة يستطيع أن يكون حارس الفريق”.

جدير بالذكر أن الأهلي يستعد لمواجهة بيراميدز غدًا ضمن منافسات دور الـ8 من بطولة كأس مصر نسخة العام الماضي.
